This article is to detail how I healed my lower back from ankylosing spondylitis, spinal stenosis, and degenerative joint and disc disease. After losing all feeling in my right arm, due to nerve compression from spinal stenosis, I had a cervical Diskectomy in 2007 after the doctors said only surgery would help and if I did not have it, I would become paralyzed from my neck to middle back, never to regain use of both arms.
A few months later I was told to have the surgery on my lower back as I had vertebrae on top of vertebrae, L1 through S1. This was causing compression of nerves and cutting off circulation to my legs, especially my left leg. I had to use a cane for walking as I could not feel my left leg. Not wanting any more surgeries, I researched alternatives and set out to heal my joints naturally. Per the advice of my pain management doctor, who was also a chiropractor, I bought and used an inversion table. I also drank over a gallon of water per day, exercised as I could, and got at least 15 minutes of direct sunlight per day, as I could, so my body could make Vitamin D (which is not an actual vitamin but a hormone the body needs for many things). I had already changed to a vegan diet a year before, in order to cure my stage 4 bone marrow cancer, and got off most of the pharmaceutical drugs, of which I was totally off of all in 2008. Those dietary changes immensely helped with my spinal healing.
The numbness was gone in one month. The next MRI that was done 6 months later, showed the vertebrae back to normal. The next EMG, nerve conduction test, done one year later, showed NO nerve damage. Damage that the doctors said would never heal!
Do NOT let anyone, even a doctor, tell you that you cannot heal from anything, as it is NOT true!
There are NO incurable dis-eases. You do have to make the necessary changes in order to heal and stay healthy.
